The Public Policy Institute was pleased to present the 2012 Election Forum at William Jessup University on October 18th. This event was co-sponsored by the Fellowship Chamber and the Alliance for Small Business Economic Impact. The event included a candidate forum focusing on regional issues and featured a number of candidates running for local offices, particularly Rocklin and Roseville City Council. This event also included a proposition forum to review the various ballot initiatives for this election year. In particular, we hosted representatives of both sides of the issues for Proposition 30: temporary tax for education funding, Proposition 34: the death penalty in California, and Proposition 37: required labeling for genetically modified foods. The Election Forum also provided voter registration opportunities and informational materials regarding the candidates and issues.
